The value of a star note depends on several factors:

Rarity Factors

  • Run Size: Smaller print runs are more valuable
    • Very Rare: Under 250,000 notes
    • Rare: 250,000 to 640,000 notes
    • Uncommon: 640,000 to 1,000,000 notes
    • Common: Over 1,000,000 notes
  • Series Year: Older series tend to be more valuable
  • Replacement Type: SHEET replacements are often rarer than PACK replacements

Condition Factors

  • UNC (Uncirculated): Perfect condition, no signs of circulation
  • AU (About Uncirculated): Slight evidence of handling
  • XF (Extremely Fine): Light circulation with minor creases
  • VF (Very Fine): Moderate circulation with several creases
